plans on paper

Nubank

If you had told me years ago that I’d be working with Leslie David Baker - yes, Stanley from The Office (one of my all-time favorite shows, btw) - I probably would have given you one of his classic deadpan stares.

This was a project I was involved in from the very beginning, joining script meetings directly with Nubank to shape a narrative that was as logistically viable as it was creatively ambitious. The main challenge? The campaign was entirely set in Rio de Janeiro, but flying Leslie there wasn't an option for logistical reasons.

The solution was pure production magic: we brought him to a high-end virtual studio in São Paulo. From producing the plates to ensuring the art direction seamlessly matched the virtual environments, we recreated Rio’s iconic beaches, bohemian bars, and even a football stadium, all while saving him from enduring the city’s scorching 40°C heat.

The result? Beyond delivering a visually stunning film, we gave Brazilian The Office fans a nostalgic treat, featuring a completely random character from the show in a Brazilian campaign. And honestly, it was as unexpected as it was brilliant.

From Scranton to Rio de Janeiro, with Leslie David Baker (aka Stanley) as he chases paper in Brazil.
